In a universe of copies and mass produced music in a factory like hysteria, Milkshop are investing in a musical array which sprouts amidst well differentiated influences that form a disconcerting musical rainbow.

The Portuguese sextet - Elmer (vocals), Hildebrando (keyboards), Loopi (bass), Miguel Drums), Red (guitar), and DJ Šuen - has, from a young age, shown a distinctive appetite for music. Originating from various suburban cultures and ambiances of a shadily fantastic nature, they've acquired their own expression with wings of genesic germination, characteristic of a cultural soup from which they sipped.

Milkshop met through a group of friends in the confinements of Lisbon suburbs, already with a blurred vision of the intangible neighbour, Sintra.

Former members of various projects, they kept up with one another, spanning their wings together, conquering their place among the scabby weavings that suffocate musical culture, inhaling its mouldy, foul air, without the oxygen needed to keep the flame of creation alive. The creative, bubbling cloud that inebriated the minds of these youngsters made them come together to form Milkshop. Of the primordial core remain Elmer and Hildebrando, to which have been added Loopi (Shed), Red (Krywall), Miguel (Orgasmo), and DJ Suen (65 Groove).

After many concerts, contests, trips, wins, losses, always looking ahead, Milkshop have suffered many metamorphoses, musicians, less musicians, above all a great will to stay faithful to their music and to everything they had learned with the rainbow dawning in the suburban grey.

With their first EP, "A Piece of the Pie", marking the end of a stage in their career, Milkshop went into seclusion to prepare their new work. Kalle, who more than a producer is "the" producer, continues to work with them in their second EP, "Schizoid Child Play".

Let the concerts and the music speak for themselves, the final spring is near and in it the flowers shall awake as sharp senses woken by the primordial call.

Milkshop muthica para bailar.
